Textured Newborn Hat Crochet Pattern

This Textured Newborn Hat is great for a baby boy (or girl) for a baby shower gift! Get a little extra help from Ashley with her video tutorial if needed. #crochet #crochetlove #crochetaddict #crochetpattern #crochetinspiration #ilovecrochet #crochetgifts #crochet365 #addictedtocrochet #yarnaddict #yarnlove #crochethat #crochetbabyhat #texturedcrochetTextured Newborn Hat Crochet Pattern

Lots of people try to find crochet pattern for newborn hats for boys but it always seems to be so hard. Let me make it easier for you. This Textured Newborn Hat is perfect for a new baby boy (or girl), and only took me about an hour to make! It is easy to make add-ons – for example, an animal to attach. It is perfect for an added item to a baby shower gift basket, or to bring a little something to meet your new grand baby in the hospital. I highly suggest using Mary Maxim, Twinkle yarn as it's very soft for a little ones head.

I know a lot of you try to make this hat with worsted weight yarn, then don't seem to like the end result. Because of all the adjustments needed – it looks very different going up so many yarn weights. I'm not sure if most people are just picking up yarn closest to them, or if super fine weight yarn feels like it would drag on and on to make.

I’m looking forward to making this. Thanks for the pattern! However, I want to make it for a baby who will be almost 8 months old come December. How can I adapt the pattern to make it larger? I tried once before with another pattern and I really didn’t like the result. Your pattern looks just perfect, so I’m hesitant to change anything.
