I am using patter, Hannah preemie/newborn hat but a little confused. Are we counting the chain as a stitch? And when Slip stitching, pattern says, “slip into first DC”. Is that the CH 2 that is counted? I have been sort of fudging along the way. But would love do make this hat perfectly according to pattern. It is lovely. Hope you can help. Thank you!!
