It’s sized to fit teens and adults and uses worsted weight yarn and basic single and double crochet stitches.

Yarn:
80 yds worsted weight yarn.
Hook:
US size H/8 (5.00mm) crochet hook or size needed to match gauge
Notions:
Scissors
Yarn needle
Gauge: 11 dc x 6 rows = 4”
Size
Height: 2.75”; Circumference: 20”
Width: 10” Length: 36”

Pattern
Join rnds where indicated with a sl st in the first st of the rnd.
Headband
Ch 64, join with a sl st in first ch to form a circle.
Rnd 1: Ch 3 (counts as dc throughout), dc in each ch around, join. (64 sts)
Rnds 2-4: Ch 3, dc in each st around, join. (64 sts)
Edging (optional)
Rnd 5: Ch 1, sc in each st around, join. (64 sts)
Fasten off.
Join yarn with sl st in any st along bottom edge.
Bottom edging: Ch 1, sc in each st around, join. (64 sts)
Finishing:
Fasten off, weave in all ends.
Cut a very long length of yarn – at least 36”.
Wrap it tightly around the front of the headband to cinch it. Tie ends together and weave in.
