Mercedes Slouch Hat Crochet Pattern
Hats are a great accessory for all seasons, and this lightweight crocheted hat is a great one to make and wear when the weather is warmer.
It’s worked in a fine-weight yarn, so it’s not too heavy, and mostly uses the double crochet stitch, which has a little bit of space in the stitches so it doesn’t make a fabric that’s super warm.
The hat is worked from the top down and has a great slouch for holding all your hair or just giving a relaxed look.

After several tries, agree w/ one of the comments- Since ch 3 incuded, then the startng of rows should be a DC in same ST as ch 3 instead of 2 DC in nxt ST. jmho
I like your work and would love to learn how to do slouch hats. Keep up the good work.
Row 2 should have a dc in the same stitch as the joining ch from previous row, then 2 dc in each stitch since you are counting the ch as a dc.
Hello,
I just want you to know that I am going to enjoy this pattern. I make many slouchy hats for my sons. They wear dread locks and tucking the locks away is great for me. Do you have step by step videos on a few of your free patterns? I can finally read patterns, but I prefer the videos. Once again thank you
