18 Inch Doll Courtney Cowl Crochet Pattern

This 18 Inch Doll Courtney Cowl is a great accessory for an 18″ doll!

11″ circumference (yarn should stretch)

3″ long from top of the hat

Materials

Worsted weight (4-medium) yarn

  • We suggest cotton yarn.
  1. Pink
  2. Gray

F-5 (3.75mm) crochet hook
Fabric scissors
Yarn needle, to weave ends

Gauge

8 dc stitches x 5 rows is 2″

*Change the hook size to obtain the gauge.

Notes

  • (11 sts) means how many stitches you should have at the end of the row. That count does include the chain.

Abbreviations/Stitches Used

sc-single crochet

blsc-back loop single crochet

dc-double crochet

Cowl

Starting with pink yarn,
Ch 44, join
Rounds 1-6: ch 2, dc in each st around, join in first dc (45 sts)
Round 7: ch 1, sc in each st around, join in first sc, cut yarn, fasten off, weave ends (45 sts)
On opposite side

Round 8: ch 1, sc in each st around, join in first sc, cut yarn, fasten off, weave ends (45 sts)

Bow

With gray yarn,
Ch 27
Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each st, turn (27 sts)
Rows 2-10: ch 1, blsc in each st, turn (27 sts)
Row 11: ch 1, blsc in each st, cut yarn, fasten off, weave ends (27 sts)

  1. With gray yarn and a yarn needle
  2. Wrap yarn around the middle of the bow tightly
  3. Tie both ends together
  4. Attach the bow to the cowl
