Alexa Slouch Crochet Pattern

This Trendy Slouchy is easy and fast to work up many last minute for gifts or a craft show! This is one of the unique patterns that uses 2 strands of worsted weight yarn.

2 strands of worsted weight yarn (4-medium)

We suggest Caron, One Pound, cream yarn*

M/N (9.00mm) crochet hook*

Fabric scissors

Yarn needle, to weave ends

Gauge

2 hdc stitches x 1 rows is 1″

*Change the hook size to obtain the gauge.

Hat

Starting with black yarn,

Round 1: ch 3, 5 cluster sts in 3rd ch from hook, join in top of ch 2 (5 sts)

Round 2: ch 2, 2 cluster sts in each st around, join in top of ch 2 (10 sts)

Round 3: ch 2, 2 cluster st in next st, cluster st in next st, join in top of ch 2 (15 sts)

Round 4: ch 2, cluster in each st around, join in top of ch 2 (15 sts)

Repeat round 4 Five more times

Round 10: ch 1, sc in each st around, join in first sc of round (30 sts)

Rounds 11-13: ch 1, 3rd loop hdc in each st around, join in first st of round (30 sts)

Round 14: ch 1, hdc in each st around, join in first hdc of round, cut yarn, fasten off, weave ends (30 sts)
