Starting with brown yarn,
Ch 3
Round 1: 4 dc in 3rd ch from hook, join in first st of round (4 dc sts)
Rounds 2-7: ch 2, dc in each st around, join in first st of round (4 dc sts)
Cut yarn and change to orange yarn.
Round 8: ch 2, 3 dc in first st, 2 dc in next st, 3 dc in next 2 sts, join in first st of round (11 dc sts)
Round 9: ch 2, 2 dc in each st around, join in first st of round (22 dc sts)
