Worsted weight yarn (We suggest Lion Brand, Fisherman’s Wool yarn. Blue yarn is 100% wool, unknown brand.)
- Brown ~ 50 yards
- Blue ~ 20 yards
I-9 (5.50mm) crochet hook
Fabric scissors
Yarn needle, to weave ends
Gauge
3 dc sts x 2 rows 1”

Starting with brown yarn.
Ch 3
Row 1: 11 dc in 3rd chain from hook, join (12 sts)
Row 2: ch 2, 2 dc in each st around, join (23 sts)
Row 3: ch 2, 2 dc in first st, dc in next 4 sts, 2 dc in next st, dc in next 5 sts, 2 dc in next st, dc in next 4 sts, 2 dc in next st, dc in next 5 sts, join (27 sts)
Row 4: ch 2, 2 dc in first st, dc in next 12 sts, 2 dc in next st, dc in next 12 sts, join (29 sts)
Rows 5-8: ch 2, dc in each st around, join (29 sts)
Cut yarn and change to blue yarn.
